Don Goins is a NTS District Vice President of Sales for NTS South Texas operations. Mr. Goins is based out of the Houston branch location but also ads sales support and product support for all Texas and Louisiana branch locations. With over 30 years of direct trench and traffic safety experience, Mr. Goins is recognized as one of the most respected and well known trench and traffic safety specialist’s in the industry. Mr. Goins began his construction industry career as an outside sales specialist with The Plank Company in 1978. After a change in control sale of the Plank Company in 1988, Mr. Goins left the Plank Company and helped establish the Safety Lights Company in the trench safety business. In 1999, Mr. Goins along with Ed Bradshaw and Mike Stanley co-founded Mikedon; a Houston based single location trench safety and traffic safety sales company. In May of 2004, Mikedon merged with National Trench Safety (NTS). Mr. Goins is a member of the American Builders and Contractors Association (ABC) suppliers associate’s group, the Houston Contractors Association and numerous other industry trade associations. Mr. Goins has attended several Management classes and has attended various industry specific training programs such as the Speed Shore Corporation Competent Person and Train the Trainer courses.
