Gary Martin is a member of the Co-founding team of NTS and the Branch Manager of our Houston Texas location. Mr. Martin began his career with NTS as the Branch Manager for our Beaumont, Texas branch operation. In late 2005, Mr. Martin was promoted to Branch Manager for the NTS Houston operation. Mr. Martin grew up in the construction industry working for Williams Brothers Construction and Brown & Root. In August of 1970 Gary went to work for the Texas Department of Transportation Agency (TXDOT) where he was a Maintenance Construction Supervisor and managed the Humble and Genoa Maintenance Sections in the Houston Area. Gary joined the Plank Company (and the Successor Company, NES Trench Shoring, and United Rentals Trench Safety) in July of 1988.

While managing the Beaumont branch for NES Trench Shoring, Gary was Chairman of the American Builders and Contractors Association (ABC) suppliers associate’s council. Mr. Martin was also an instructor for Lamar University, and The Sabine Neches Fire Chiefs association, Annual Emergency Response Training, where he instructed Trench Rescue Classes. Mr. Martin has attended several Management classes through Texas A&M University Engineering Extension Service, Texas State Management Center, and Speed Shore Corporation Competent Person and Train the Trainer courses.
