Jon Preston is the Human Relations and Safety Manager for NTS. Prior to joining NTS, Mr. Preston’s trench safety background includes serving as the Director of Training for Speed Shore Corporation. Over his eight year tenure with Speed Shore, he designed, developed and taught trench safety product classes and also taught over five hundred Competent Person and Confined Space training seminars. During that time Jon also taught numerous Competent Person Train-the-Trainer seminars. In 2003 Mr. Preston joined the Modern Group as its Director of Safety. At Modern, Jon also managed the Safety, Human Resources and Payroll functions for the LaPorte, Texas plant that had over 500 employees. Mr. Preston has served as a guest speaker for numerous safety conferences and has also written several safety-related articles for industry and trade journals. Jon received his undergraduate degree in Business and Social Sciences from the University of Houston and he also holds a Master’s degree in Training and Organizational Development from the University of Houston.
